By AHHG CareGivers standards, all of our caregivers:
-Undergo national background and DMV checks.
-Receive 12 hours of annual training to remain current and proficient with the skill set needed to provide targeted care.
-Receive regular performance reviews from their supervisor to ensure that they provide high-quality care.
Do I have a say in the type of caregiver I receive?
Absolutely! Your input is invaluable in selecting the right caregiver. We understand that a trusting and comfortable caregiver-client relationship is essential to quality care. To ensure a perfect match, we: Conduct an initial consultation to assess your needs and preferences, offer an opportunity to meet the caregiver in person before care begins, encourage open communication so you feel confident in your choice

If you do not have enough private funds to cover the cost of home care, there may be other options to consider. Your local AHHG can provide more information about:
Auto Insurance
Individuals injured in an auto accident may have home care services covered to assist in recovery or with limitations due to permanent injury.
Back-Up Care
If care arrangements change or fall through unexpectedly, back-up care can provide you with additional support for dependent family members. Back-up care benefits are sometimes offered through your employer and can be used for dependent family members of all ages, including children and adults.
Behavioral Health
State-funded programs support individuals navigating challenges with self-care and safety due to behavioral health conditions.
Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities
These services support individuals with intellectual or developmental differences with self-care and safety through state-funded programs.
Private Long-Term Care Insurance
Most private long-term care insurance policies can be used for home care services.
Medicare

In-home care services can include:
- Elder care is one of the main foundation of AHHA home caregiving services specifically for seniors and the elderly. We offer a helping hand with transportation to the grocery store or appointments, light housekeeping tasks, errands, medication reminders, companionship, and more.
